Registration is open for ALL current and future SLE students.
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and fun space for children. We strive to foster creativity, inspire curiosity, and promote holistic development while equipping them with essential life skills.

Monday - Friday | 30 mins
Students will work on their assigned homework with Shine Bright staff. We will work and review any concepts that the student may have missed in class that are required for homework completion. If student does not have homework, we will provide curriculum for each individual student that aligns with the state TEKS and Alvin ISD scope and sequence. Students that show mastery of concepts and have completed their homework, will be allowed to read quietly until homework hub time ends.

Student painters will be encouraged to "paint with a twist." With their own easel and pre-drawn canvas, we will walk students through the steps to paint a masterpiece they'll get to take home and show off to their loved ones.

Students enhance their imagination to help visualize spoken words as our animated storyteller reads a story aloud. These interactive classes provides your student with psychological and educational benefits, improving their vocabulary and refining their comunication skills. Additionally, students practice their comprehension with fun Q&As throughout the class.

Student athletes get a kick out of the Fit & Fun Club activities R3 Fitness plans. These exciting physical education lessons help student athletes release their pent up energy through a holistic fitness approach by addressing the whole child. R3 Fitness has unique curriculum that works on wellness for students by challenging them physically and mentally. Shine Bright has partnered with Coach Randy, Founder of R3 Fitness, to develop your student's fitness abilities and build their confidence.

Student sous chefs learn to recognize, identify, and use common tools and appliances in the kitchen. Your chef-in-training will learn about kitchen safety, read recipes and food labels, create shopping lists, help prepare and make interesting snacks, late-lunches and desserts to take home. Your sous chef will become more patient as they learn the importance of following directions while having fun stirring up tasty treats.

Future student martial artists participate in weekly classes that combine the basic styles of karate, tae kwon do, krav maga, and kickboxing. The mixture of these styles and techniques, plus additional advanced training, develop a well-rounded martial artist. Premier Martial Arts offers structured, self-defense classes that also focus on character development. Shine Bright has partnered with Ms. Regena of Premier Martial Arts Sienna Plantation to provide high-energy classes that focus on discipline, the value of hard work and determination, respect for others, self-respect, and of course self-defense.

Student coders learn all about coding by mastering vocabulary and exploring the mechanics of robots. Coders are engaged in the collaborative, rigorous, goal-directed STEM activities included in the BE(CODE,TASTIC) Youth Robotics Coding Program. The program is divided into classes that expose students to elements of Science and Math they may have never considered. Shine Bright has partnered with Carris Carey, Founder of BE(CODE,TASTIC), to provide students with an engaging, hands-on, coding program that allows them to utilize Jr. Botball, an innovative teaching tool, develop and modify algorithms, and gain more knowledge and confidence in technology.

Techie students enjoy watching, learning, playing, and competing by means of technology. Techies discover the important connection between learning and gaming through video gaming, educational online activities, fun photography, and music. With an emphasis on discovery, education, and creativity, techie students have a blast interacting with each other through the ever-evolving world of technology.

Students improve their critical thinking skills and increase their innovative thinking in both Science Lab and STEM. With a large focus on the how and why, your student will be encouraged to formulate hypotheses, carry out experiments, and be taught to accept failure in a healthy way, as it goes hand in hand with success. Students work in groups, allowing students an opportunity to collaborate to solve problems.

2 days a week | 45-min sessions
At-risk students| Elective
Students work with an experienced tutor, either 1-on-1 or in a small group of up to four students, to close academic learning gaps, review grade level concepts, and learn test taking strategies to help prepare for state testing. Recurring weekly sessions are 45 minutes in length. An initial diagnostic test is administered to identify missed concepts, academic strengths, and areas of growth. Please read our About Tutoring page to learn more about our tutoring services. Tutoring through the extended day program takes place at Savannah Lakes Elementary and is an additional fee.
